We at Cornerstone take discipleship seriously. We believe that discipleship is not possible with a simple one hour class on a Sunday morning, but our Sunday studies are built in such a way that push you to be involved and invested in discipleship throughout the week. From our children all the way through our adults, these classes are intentional, well-prepared, Bible saturated, and full of relationship building. We hope that you make time to come be a part of one.
Many committed, knowledgeable believers still know little about the history of the church. As a result, they're missing a testament to God's steadfastness over the centuries. Now, a monumental new teaching series sheds crucial light on church history, demonstrating God's promise to build and preserve his church so that “the gates of hell will not prevail against it” (Matt. 16:18). Join Dr. W. Robert Godfrey as he takes believers through what will be a seventy-three-lecture series covering theology, apologetics, notable church fathers, and much more. This class takes place upstairs with John Clark.
Not every Christian should go to seminary, but there are certain teachings of the Bible that every Christian must know. Theology is important because what we believe affects how we live. Whether you're a relatively new believer in Jesus or a mature Christian looking for a better understanding of basics of the faith, Christian Beliefs is for you.
This readable guide to twenty basic Christian beliefs is a condensation of Wayne Grudem’s award-winning book Systematic Theology, prized by pastors and teachers everywhere. He and his son, Elliot, have boiled down the essentials of Christian theology for the layperson and made them both clear and applicable to life. You will learn about the Bible, the characteristics of God, what it means that we are created in the image of God, what God has done for us in Christ, the purpose of the church, and much more. Each chapter includes questions for personal review or group discussion.
This class is in the Fellowship Hall with Mike Melnick.
Moral stories become a master plan. A church becomes a culture of grace. Good deeds
become a holy mission. This is the work of the gospel.
This is The Gospel Project, an ongoing group Bible study resource that helps participants encounter the gospel of Jesus Christ on every page of Scripture. This chronological, Christ-centered Bible study will help you turn the gospel story into a gospel culture and motivate participants to mission at home and around the world.
This study is in the Sanctuary with pastor Jeff.
There's nothing quite like going through a book of the Bible verse by verse. If that is your favorite way to study and read, this class is for you. Join Pastor Dave upstairs as this class continues to walk through the Gospel of Luke and see how the life and teachings of Jesus Christ are the summation of the Old Testament, the beginning of the New Covenant, the example for us as believers, the sacrifice needed for our salvation, and the teaching we need to live as ambassadors for Christ in this world.
